Why good sleep is important

Getting enough sleep and good quality sleep at night ensures good health both physical and mental. The good quality sleep at night is the most important.

Not only for adults but also for children, getting proper sleep is the most important thing. If you aren’t getting enough sleep, if you are sleeping at the wrong times of the day, or if you have poor quality sleep, you will feel very tired during the whole day. You will not feel fresh and alert when you wake up and would not be able to perform your duties efficiently.

Sleep deficiency can negatively affect your work, social functioning, your school, driving, and other duties that you have to perform all day long. You will also face trouble in learning, focusing, and even reacting to different things. Sleep deficiency also makes you feel frustrated, cranky, or less focused on your work.

Effects of sleep deficiency may differ in children and adults. Children with sleep deficient disorders are overly active and have problems paying attention. They also misbehave, and their school performance also suffers due to sleep deficiency.

There is no doubt in saying that good sleep can improve concentration because when mind is fresh in concentrates well and then productivity is on a higher scale.

The quality of sleep and the duration of sleep have great impact on health. Poor sleepers have greater risk of heart diseases and heart stroke. Sleeping less than 7 to 8 hours per night increases the risk of heart stroke.

Sleeplessness or not getting enough sleep also makes one feel lethargic and lazy and one does not feel like performing any physical tasks and this leads to other physical complications.

People with poor sleep quality often complain about being depressed and the depression they go through also lead them to commit suicide.

Whereas people who have good quality sleep feel much happier and satisfied because their brain functions properly due to getting enough sleep. And even when they have to face any difficult times in their lives they deal with it sensibly.

There is no doubt in this statement that those people who sleep less than seven hours are more likely to fall sick and mostly develop a cold than those who sleep eight hours or more.

If you often get a cold and you ensure that you get at least eight hours of sleep per night it could be very helpful in recovering from sickness.

Getting at least 8 hours of sleep daily at night can help in building a stronger immune system and fighting against sickness.

Your emotions are linked with your brain. For proper functioning of brain good sleep is the most important factor.

An alert brain helps you control your emotions in intense situations. Dealing well with your emotions according to situation is what makes you a successful person. Whereas with lesser or poor quality sleep your brain feels tired too and is unable to perform properly even with the emotions. You would feel unhappy and irritated all the time.
